## Biography

Gene Laufenberg is an American television writer, producer and director. He began his career as a story editor on the animated series *Duckman* (1994–1997), later serving as writer and producer on the show, for which he received an Emmy nomination.

Laufenberg wrote episodes of *Pinky and the Brain* (1995), *Clueless* (1996) and *Family Guy* (2002, 2005), and worked as a producer on *Family Guy* (2001–2002) and *Clueless* (1998–1999). He wrote and directed the short film *Sunday's Game* (1999). He later earned a master's degree in clinical psychology and became a licensed marriage and family therapist in California. He has also written for later animated series including *Boy Girl Dog Cat Mouse Cheese* (2019–2024).
