Gene O'Neill is an American writer for television and film, and an actor. He wrote the episode "One Against an Army" for *Xena: Warrior Princess* (1998) and multiple episodes of *Hercules: The Legendary Journeys* (1996–1999), on which he also served as producer. His other writing credits include episodes of *Earth: Final Conflict* (1997), *Spy Game* (1997), *Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman* (1995) and *In Plain Sight* (2010).

O'Neill has acting credits in the films *C.H.U.D.* (1984) and *The Stuff* (1985), and appeared in the stage production of *The Slab Boys* (1979).
