## Biography

Gene Page (1939–1998) was an American composer, arranger, conductor and record producer. Born in Los Angeles, he worked extensively in popular music as an orchestrator and arranger for artists including Barry White, the Righteous Brothers, Barbra Streisand and Whitney Houston.

He composed scores for the films *Brewster McCloud* (1970) and *Blacula* (1972), and contributed music to the television series *Cagney & Lacey* (one episode, 1985). Page also scored episodes of *H.R. Pufnstuf* and television specials featuring Richard Pryor and Patti LaBelle. He released several solo albums and was the brother of musician Billy Page.
