## Biography

Gene Ranney was a television editor whose career spanned more than four decades. He worked on numerous network series, including *Kojak* (1973), *McCloud*, *The Fall Guy*, *Cover Up*, *21 Jump Street* and *The Commish*, for which he edited 45 episodes between 1991 and 1995.

He began in the entertainment industry at age 17 in a mailroom position and later edited for studios including 20th Century Fox and Universal Studios. His credits also include episodes of *Automan*, *Manimal*, *Stingray*, *Wiseguy* and *Nowhere Man*.
