## Biography

George Christy (14 May 1927 – 11 August 2020) was an American actor and columnist. Born in Monessen, Pennsylvania, he appeared in numerous films and television productions from the late 1980s onwards, including *Die Hard* (1988) as Dr Hasseldorf, *Predator 2* (1990) as a reporter, *Se7en* (1995) as the workman at the door of Somerset's office, *Outbreak* (1995) as a senator and *The Thomas Crown Affair* (1999) as the senior museum guard.

He wrote the society column "The Great Life" for *The Hollywood Reporter* for 26 years until 2001. He later contributed a column to *The Beverly Hills Courier* from 2006 to 2019.
