## Biography

George DiCenzo was an American actor, voice actor, producer and acting teacher. Born in New Haven, Connecticut, he began his career as an associate producer on the soap opera *Dark Shadows* before moving into acting in the early 1970s. He appeared in more than thirty feature films and numerous television series and animated productions over a career spanning more than three decades.

DiCenzo is known for his role as Sam Baines in *Back to the Future* (1985). Other film credits include Major Benchley in *Close Encounters of the Third Kind* (1977) and a part in *The Exorcist III* (1990). He also provided voices for animated series such as *He-Man and the Masters of the Universe* and *Batman: The Animated Series*, and taught acting in New York and Philadelphia after training with Milton Katselas. He died on 9 August 2010.
