## Biography

George Eastman, born Luigi Montefiori, was an Italian actor and screenwriter. He trained at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome and began his career in the mid-1960s, adopting the stage name George Eastman for roles as a heavy in spaghetti westerns.

He appeared as the Minotaur in Federico Fellini's *Satyricon* (1969). Eastman collaborated frequently with director Joe D'Amato as both actor and screenwriter, notably in *Anthropophagous* (1980). He also worked with Pupi Avati on *Christmas Present* (1986) and *Christmas Rematch* (2004), and contributed screenplays including for *Keoma* (1976). His tall stature often led to villainous or imposing roles across genres.

Eastman was active from 1966 to 2004 and later focused on screenwriting for Italian television.
