## Biography

George Hamilton is an American actor. He began his film career with the lead role in *Crime and Punishment U.S.A.* (1959), for which he won a Golden Globe Award for Most Promising Newcomer and received a BAFTA nomination.

His film credits include *Home from the Hill* (1960), *Light in the Piazza* (1962), *Love at First Bite* (1979), *The Godfather Part III* (1990) as B.J. Harrison, *Doc Hollywood* (1991) and *Hollywood Ending* (2002). On television he has appeared in *Columbo*, *Pushing Daisies* (2007) as Ned's Father (uncredited), *2 Broke Girls* and *American Housewife*.

Hamilton was married to actress and television personality Alana Stewart from 1972 to 1975; they have a son, actor Ashley Hamilton.
