## Biography

Sir George Henry Martin was an English record producer, arranger, composer and conductor. He is best known for his work with the Beatles, producing all their original albums and earning the nickname 'Fifth Beatle'.

Martin composed the score for the James Bond film *Live and Let Die* (1973) and produced its title song by Paul McCartney and Wings. His other film credits include *A Hard Day's Night* (1964), *Yellow Submarine* (1968), *The Family Way* (1966) and *Honky Tonk Freeway* (1981). He received an Academy Award nomination for his work on *A Hard Day's Night* and a Grammy for the *Live and Let Die* soundtrack.
