George Peppard was an American actor. He was born on 1 October 1928 in Detroit, Michigan, and died on 8 May 1994 in Los Angeles, California.

Peppard trained at Purdue University and Carnegie Mellon University before studying at the Actors Studio in New York. He appeared in *Breakfast at Tiffany's* (1961) as Paul Varjak, *How the West Was Won* (1962) as Zeb Rawlings, and *The Blue Max* (1966). On television he played Thomas Banacek in the series *Banacek* and John 'Hannibal' Smith in *The A-Team* (1983).
