## Biography

George Schneiderman (also credited as George Schneidermann) was an American cinematographer. He was born on 20 September 1894 in New York and died on 19 November 1964 in Van Nuys, California. He worked on more than 80 productions, primarily for the Fox Film Corporation between 1919 and 1935.

Schneiderman served as director of photography on several early films directed by John Ford, including *The Iron Horse* (1924) and *3 Bad Men* (1926). He also shot *Judge Priest* (1934). He remained under contract at Fox for many years and was, with Ernest Palmer, among the studio's most prolific cinematographers during the 1920s. He was a member of the American Society of Cinematographers.
