## Biography

George Steel is a British cinematographer. He served as director of photography on the first series of *Peaky Blinders* (2013) and on the *Black Mirror* episode 'White Christmas' (2014).

Steel has collaborated frequently with director Tom Harper. Their joint credits include *War & Peace* (2016), *Wild Rose* (2018), *The Aeronauts* (2019) and *Heart of Stone* (2023). Other feature work includes *Robin Hood* (2018) and *The Last Letter from Your Lover* (2021); television credits include *The Sandman* (2022).

He won a BAFTA Craft Award for photography and lighting on *Peaky Blinders*.
