George Tillman Jr. is an American film director, screenwriter and producer. Born on 26 January 1969 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, he graduated from Columbia College Chicago in 1991 with a degree in film and video.

He directed the features *Soul Food* (1997), *Men of Honor* (2000), *Notorious* (2009), *Faster* (2010), *The Hate U Give* (2018) and *Big George Foreman* (2023). Tillman has also directed episodes of the television series *This Is Us* (2016), *Marvel's Luke Cage* (2016), *Power* (2014) and *For Life* (2020). He produced the Barbershop film series.
