George White (20 August 1911 – 15 February 1998) was an American film editor. He began working as a Hollywood editor in 1942 and spent most of his career at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer.

His credits include *Bataan* (1943), *The Clock* (1945), *The Postman Always Rings Twice* (1946), *Green Dolphin Street* (1947), for which he received an Academy Award nomination for Best Film Editing, *The Naked Spur* (1953), *The Band Wagon* (1953), *The Silver Chalice* (1954) and *The Phenix City Story* (1955). He retired after editing *The Navy vs. the Night Monsters* (1966).
