Georges Guétary was a French singer, dancer, cabaret performer and film actor of Greek origin. Born Lambros Worloou on 8 February 1915 in Alexandria, Egypt, he moved to France in the 1930s and began his career performing with Mistinguett at the Casino de Paris. He adopted his stage name during the Second World War and achieved early success in French cinema and opérette.

Guétary is best known for playing Henri Baurel in the 1951 musical film *An American in Paris*. His stage work included the London production of *Bless the Bride* (1947) and the Broadway musical *Arms and the Girl* (1950), for which he received a Tony Award for Best Foreign Performer. He starred in several French opérettes by Francis Lopez, including *La Route fleurie*, and appeared in other films such as *Les Aventures de Casanova* (1946). He died on 13 September 1997 in Mougins, France.
