## Biography

Gera Sandler is an Israeli actor. Born in Moscow in 1973, he immigrated to Israel in 1990. He trained at the Beit Zvi School of Performing Arts between 1994 and 1997 and has performed with the Gesher and Yiddishpiel theatres.

Sandler is known for his role as Mordecai Schwartz in the Netflix series *Unorthodox* (2020). His other screen credits include the film *Jellyfish* (2007) as Michael and the series *Shnot HaShmonim* (2013–2020) as Mamuka. He has also appeared in *Asia* (2020) and *Transatlantic* (2023).

He is married to actress Ronit Asheri.
