## Biography

Gerald Shepard was a film and television editor. He co-edited *Five Easy Pieces* (1970) and worked as editor on eleven episodes of the television series *The Monkees* (1966–1968). He also served as associate producer on the series and directed two episodes.

Shepard began his career in the 1960s. He directed, produced and wrote the screenplay for *Heroes Die Young* (1960). Later credits include editing the television movies *Blood Sport* (1973), *Roll, Freddy, Roll!* (1974) and *Christmas Comes to Willow Creek* (1987).
