Geraldine Peroni was an American film editor. She was born in Manhattan, New York City, on 5 July 1953 and died in New York on 3 August 2004.

Peroni collaborated extensively with director Robert Altman, editing eight of his films including *Vincent & Theo* (1990), *The Player* (1992), *Short Cuts* (1993), *Prêt-à-Porter* (1994), *Kansas City* (1996), *The Gingerbread Man* (1998), *Dr. T & the Women* (2000) and *The Company* (2003). She received an Academy Award nomination for Best Film Editing for *The Player*. Her other credits include *Michael* (1996), *Cradle Will Rock* (1999), *The Safety of Objects* (2001) and *Jesus' Son* (1999). She edited seven episodes of the HBO series *The Wire* across its first two seasons (2002–2003).

Peroni died while editing *Brokeback Mountain* (2005); the film was completed by Dylan Tichenor. The episode "Back Burners" of *The Wire* was dedicated to her memory, and the *Brokeback Mountain* credits include an "In Loving Memory" tribute.
