Gideon Yago is an American television writer and former news correspondent. Born on 19 February 1978 in Madison, Wisconsin, he graduated from Columbia University with a degree in history and began working for MTV News in 2000, covering politics, music and current affairs.

Yago later moved into scripted television, serving as a staff writer on HBO's *The Newsroom* (2012). His subsequent credits include story editor and writer roles on *Manhattan* (2014), *Quantico* (2015–2018), *Narcos* (2016) and *The Mosquito Coast* (2021), where he also worked as a producer.
