Gilbert Lewis was an American actor who appeared in film and television from the 1970s to the mid-1990s. He played Detective Frank Valento in the 1992 horror film *Candyman* and had roles in *Across 110th Street* (1972), *Don Juan DeMarco* (1994) and *Blaze* (1989).

Lewis was the original King of Cartoons on the first season of the children's series *Pee-wee's Playhouse* (1986). He also made guest appearances on series including *The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air*, *Cheers* and *Law & Order*.
