Gilberto Idonea (also credited as Gilberto Idone) was an Italian actor born on 18 June 1946 in Catania, Sicily. He made his film debut in *Turi e i paladini* (1979) and appeared in numerous films and television productions until his death on 5 October 2018 in Catania.

He is known for roles including Centorbi the Lawyer in *Malena* (2000), Hitman in *The Consequences of Love* (2004), and appearances in *Nati stanchi* (2002), *The Second Wedding Night* (2005) and *A Dinner for Them to Meet* (2007). On television he played Ciccio Monaco in *Inspector Montalbano*, Quinto Belli in *Father Matteo*, and roles in *The Octopus* (*La piovra*) series, including Avvocato Edoardo Rittone. He also performed in stage work, including a one-man show homage to Angelo Musco.
