## Biography

Gillian L. Hutshing is an American film and television editor. She has worked on more than 65 titles, including feature films, documentaries and television content. Her credits include *FernGully: The Last Rainforest* (1992), *Hard Rain* (1998), *Squanto: A Warrior's Tale* (1994) and *The Kill Room* (2023).

Hutshing began her career as an apprentice editor on a short film by John Cassavetes. She joined the Motion Picture Editors Guild after working on *Haunted Honeymoon* (1986). She has collaborated with directors including Ridley Scott and Ben Affleck, and served as editor on *Blade Runner: The Final Cut* and *The Town* (2010). Her work on *The Divide* (2018) received 23 festival awards. She became a member of the American Cinema Editors in 2022.

Hutshing is also the author and illustrator of the children's book *Sparky the Wonderfish*. She was raised in La Jolla, California, graduated from the University of California, Davis, and is based in Los Angeles.
