## Biography

Giorgio Moser (9 October 1923 – 25 September 2004) was an Italian film director, screenwriter and producer. A law graduate from Trento, he began in cinema as a critic and journalist before working as an assistant director and making short films and documentaries.

His feature debut was the documentary *Continente perduto* (1955, also known as *Lost Continent*), co-directed with Mario Craveri. He went on to direct seven films between 1954 and 1996, including *Violenza segreta* (1963) and *Blue Dolphin – L'avventura continua* (1990). From 1959 he worked extensively as a documentarist for RAI television.

Moser also produced *Alphaville* (1965), directed by Jean-Luc Godard.
