## Biography

Gitti Fuchs is a German costume designer, also credited as Brigitte Fuchs. She was born in Kempten and studied fashion design in Berlin after a language stay in England. She began working as a freelance costume designer in the 1990s, initially also in theatre, before focusing exclusively on film and television from 1997.

She has collaborated extensively with director Maren Ade on *The Forest for the Trees* (2003), *Everyone Else* (2009) and *Toni Erdmann* (2016). Other credits include *Exile* (2020) and *Someday We'll Tell Each Other Everything* (2023). Fuchs is a member of the Deutsche Filmakademie and lives in Berlin. One of her costumes from *Toni Erdmann*, a large Kukeri mask and suit, is held in the permanent collection of the Deutsche Kinemathek.
