## Biography

Giulia Gandini is a London-based director and writer originally from Italy. She trained at MetFilm School, graduating with an MA in Directing in 2017.

Her short film *My Time* (2018) was long-listed for the Academy Awards in 2020 and won a Young Director Award at Cannes that year. She has directed episodes of Italian series including *Jams* (2020), the pilot of *Cabala* (2022) and served as series director on *Shake* (2023). She worked as second unit director on the Sky series *The Lazarus Project* (2022).

In the UK, Gandini directed three episodes of the eighth series of *Shetland* (2023). Subsequent credits include two episodes of *The Split: Barcelona* (2024) and lead director duties on *Frauds* (2025).
