## Biography

Gloria Pall (born Gloria Pallatz) was an American actress, model and showgirl. Born in Brooklyn, New York, on 15 July 1927, she died in Burbank, California, on 30 December 2012.

She won a 'Miss Flatbush' contest in 1947, which led to modelling work and showgirl roles in Reno, Las Vegas and Hollywood, including as 'Miss Earl Carroll'. Pall appeared in small and uncredited film roles from the early 1950s, including *20,000 Leagues Under the Sea* (1954), *The Night of the Hunter* (1955) as a burlesque dancer, *Jailhouse Rock* (1957), *The Crimson Kimono* (1959) as Sugar Torch, and *Elmer Gantry* (1960). Television credits included a role in the *Twilight Zone* episode 'And When the Sky Was Opened' (1959). She also hosted the short-lived KABC-TV programme as the character Voluptua in 1954–55.

From the late 1950s Pall worked in real estate, opening an office on the Sunset Strip. She later wrote books about her Hollywood experiences.
