## Biography

Gordon Flemyng (7 March 1934 – 12 July 1995) was a Scottish director, producer and writer of television and film. He directed episodes of numerous British series, including *The Avengers* (1961), *The Saint* (1962), *The Bill* (1984) and *Lovejoy* (1986). He also wrote an episode of *Play for Today* (1970).

Flemyng directed the two 1960s Dalek feature films *Dr. Who and the Daleks* (1965) and *Daleks' Invasion Earth: 2150 A.D.* (1966), as well as the Hollywood crime drama *The Split* (1968) and the British war film *The Last Grenade* (1970). He was the father of actor Jason Flemyng.
