## Biography

Gordon Lonsdale is a cinematographer and occasional director. He trained at Brigham Young University, where he earned a degree in communications, and began his career in the late 1970s as a grip and camera assistant before moving into cinematography for television in the late 1980s.

He served as director of photography on multiple episodes of the CBS series *Northern Exposure* (1990–1995), credited sometimes as Gordon C. Lonsdale. Subsequent credits include *Space: Above and Beyond* (1995–1996), *The Magnificent Seven* (1998–2000), *Bones* (2006–2013, where he also directed episodes), and *NCIS: New Orleans* (2014–2020, again combining cinematography and directing duties). He has also worked on Disney Channel films including *High School Musical* (2006), *Read It and Weep* (2006) and *The Gabby Douglas Story* (2014).

Lonsdale is a member of the American Society of Cinematographers.
