Grace Jones is a Jamaican singer, model and actress. Born Grace Beverly Jones on 19 May 1948 in Spanish Town, Jamaica, she moved to the United States as a teenager and studied theatre at Onondaga Community College in Syracuse, New York.

She began her career as a model in New York and Paris before gaining prominence as a recording artist. Jones made her feature film debut in 1973 and became known for acting roles including Zula in *Conan the Destroyer* (1984) and May Day in *A View to a Kill* (1985).

Her other screen credits include *Vamp* (1986), *Straight to Hell* (1987) and *Boomerang* (1992). She has also appeared in documentaries and television specials.
