## Biography

Graciela Mazón is a Mexican costume designer whose credits include *From Dusk Till Dawn* (1996), *Desperado* (1995), *The Mask of Zorro* (1998), *Vertical Limit* (2000), *Spy Kids 2: The Island of Lost Dreams* (2002), *Once Upon a Time in Mexico* (2003), *The Legend of Zorro* (2005), *Nacho Libre* (2006), *The Flowers of War* (2011) and *Miss Bala* (2019).

A native of Mexico, she holds degrees in art from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México and the Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes. She studied mime at l'École Jacques Lecoq in Paris and earned a doctorate in theatre and cinema design at the University of Paris. Her paintings, drawings and sculptures have been exhibited in museums and galleries in Mexico, France and the United States.

Mazón's work on *The Mask of Zorro* received a Costume Designers Guild Award nomination and a BAFTA nomination. She has twice won Ariel Awards from the Mexican Academy of Arts and Cinematographic Sciences, for *Miroslava* and *Queen of the Night*, and collaborated with directors including Robert Rodriguez, Martin Campbell and Antonio Banderas.
