Graham Baker is an English film and television director. Born in November 1938 in Woolwich, London, he began his career in British television, directing an episode of the series *The Sweeney* in 1978.

His feature debut was the short film *Leaving Lily* (1975), which he also wrote and produced and which received a BAFTA nomination. He later directed Hollywood films including *The Final Conflict* (1981), *Impulse* (1984), *Alien Nation* (1988), *The Recruit* (1990), *Born to Ride* (1991) and *Beowulf* (1999). Baker studied painting, graphic design and architecture at Leicester College and spent many years directing television commercials.
