Greg McHugh is a Scottish actor and writer. He was born on 5 January 1980 in Edinburgh.

McHugh is the creator, writer and star of the BBC One Scotland comedy series *Gary: Tank Commander* (2009–2012). He played Howard McGregor in the Channel 4 series *Fresh Meat* (2011–2016).

His other television credits include *Marvellous* (2014) as Malcolm, *The A Word* as Eddie Scott, *A Discovery of Witches* (2018) as Hamish Osborne, and *Only Child* (2024) as Richard Pritchard. He trained at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and was nominated for a Scottish BAFTA as writer of *Gary: Tank Commander*.
