## Biography

Greg Melvill-Smith (1961–2016) was a South African actor, director, writer and voice artist. He completed a National Diploma in Drama at Tshwane University of Technology in 1984 and was a founding member of the South African Guild of Actors (SAGA).

He appeared in numerous South African television serials, including *Die Vierde Kabinet*, *7de Laan*, *One Way* and *Isidingo*, as well as international series such as *Black Sails* (2015), in which he played Admiral Hennessey. His film roles include Jaws Farrah in *Mr Bones* (2001), the Interviewer in *District 9* (2009), and parts in *Drum* (2004), *The Bang Bang Club* (2010) and *Night Drive* (2010).
