## Biography

Gregory Bernstein is an American screenwriter. Born on 5 July 1955 in Los Angeles, he is the son of composer Elmer Bernstein and is married to writer Sara Bernstein.

He wrote the screenplay for *Official Secrets* (2019) with Sara Bernstein and Gavin Hood. His other credits include the story and screenplay for *The Conspirator* (2011), the story and teleplay for the television film *Call Me Claus* (2001), and the story and screenplay for *Trial and Error* (1997). He also wrote, directed and appeared in the short film *One Day in Dallas* (1990). Bernstein is an associate professor in the School of Film, Dance and Theatre at Arizona State University.
