## Biography

Gretel Vella is an Australian television writer and producer. She graduated from NIDA with an MFA in Writing for Performance.

She began her television career writing episodes of *Doctor Doctor* (2018–2019). Vella joined the writers’ room for *The Great* (2020) as a staff writer, later becoming co-producer on the series. She created, wrote and executive-produced the Stan series *Totally Completely Fine* (2023), and contributed to *Class of ’07* (2023). Additional credits include the television films *A Sunburnt Christmas* (2020) and *Christmas Ransom* (2022).

Vella has received Writers Guild of America nominations for her work on *The Great*, as well as AWGIE and AACTA nominations.
