## Biography

Griffin Matthews is an American actor, writer and director. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a B.F.A. in musical theatre.

Matthews is known for television roles including Rafe in *The Mentalist* (2012), Shane Evans in *The Flight Attendant* (2020–2022), Luke Jacobson in *She-Hulk: Attorney at Law* (2022), Bayard Rustin in *Genius* (2024) and Teddy Lockwood in *You* (2025). He co-founded the nonprofit UgandaProject in 2005 and co-wrote the musical *Witness Uganda* (later *Invisible Thread*) with his husband Matt Gould; the work received Richard Rodgers Awards for Musical Theatre.
