## Biography

Hamid Reza Ashtianipoor is an Iranian film director, producer, screenwriter and voice actor. Born on 28 August 1963 in Tehran, he holds a BA in cinema from the University of Art and an MA in acting and directing from Tarbiat Modares University.

He is known for directing and producing *Sharks* (1995), *Flames of Wrath* (1993) and *A Girl Named Tondar* (2000). He also worked as production designer on Jafar Panahi’s *The White Balloon* (1995). Ashtianipoor has been married to Fakhereh Mohammadi Fakurzadeh since 1986 and they have two children.
