Hamish McColl is a British actor, comedian and writer. Born on 28 January 1962, he trained at the École Philippe Gaulier in Paris and the University of Cambridge. In 1988 he formed the comedy double act The Right Size with Sean Foley; their shows toured internationally.

McColl has written screenplays for *Mr. Bean's Holiday* (2007), *Johnny English Reborn* (2011), *Dad's Army* (2016) and *Artemis Fowl* (2020), and contributed the screen story for *Paddington* (2014). His acting credits include roles in *The Parent Trap* (1998), *Paddington* (2014) and *All Is True* (2018). He has won two Olivier Awards and received a Tony Award nomination for his stage work.
