## Biography

Hannah Peterson is an American writer and director. She holds an MFA in Film Directing from the California Institute of the Arts and has worked with filmmakers Sean Baker and Chloé Zhao on their productions.

Peterson’s short films include *East of the River* (2019), which premiered at Tribeca and Slamdance, and *Champ* (2022). Her feature debut *The Graduates* (2023) premiered at Tribeca, where it won Best Cinematography in the US Narrative category. She is also credited on *Nomadland* (2020) in production roles including local casting.
