Hans Beimler is a television writer and producer. Born in Mexico City in 1953, he is Mexican-born American and graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in film production in 1977.

He began his screenwriting career on *Fame* and *Knightwatch*, then joined the staff of *Star Trek: The Next Generation* in 1988 as a story editor and co-producer, frequently collaborating with Richard Manning. He later served as co-executive producer, director and writer on *TekWar* before working on *Star Trek: Deep Space Nine* from 1995 to 1999 as a writer and producer.

Beimler has also written episodes of *The Dresden Files* and *The Twilight Zone*. He received a Hugo Award nomination for the *Deep Space Nine* episode "Trials and Tribble-ations".
