## Biography

Hans Schneeberger (1895–1970) was an Austrian cinematographer. He trained as a camera assistant and worked frequently with director Arnold Fanck on mountain films during the 1920s, including *The Holy Mountain* (1926) and *The White Hell of Pitz Palu* (1929). He was part of the group known as the Freiburger Schule.

Schneeberger served as cinematographer on *The Blue Angel* (1930). He contributed to more than eighty films across Austria, Germany and elsewhere, later working for Wien-Film and providing uncredited photography for *The Third Man* (1949). His credits also include *The Blue Light* (1932) and *The Man Between* (1953).
