## Biography

Hans Tórgarð is a Faroese actor, director and dramatist. He grew up in Kvívík in the Faroe Islands. His father was the priest and translator Axel Tórgarð. Tórgarð obtained a Master of Arts in theatre at Teaterhögskolan in Helsinki, Finland, in 1999. He has performed numerous roles on stage at the Faroese National Theater since 1991 and has worked as a voice actor in Faroese radio plays and children's television.

Tórgarð is known for his role as the engineer Dvalinn in the Icelandic television series *Trapped* (2015–2016). Other screen credits include the feature film *A Faraway Land* (2021) as Sigmund Garðalíð and the series *Trom* (2022) as Haraldur Martinsson.
