## Biography

Haqi Ali is a British actor and former stand-up comedian. He began performing comedy in the mid-1990s and reached the finals of So You Think You're Funny at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

His television credits include the role of Uncle Ji in the first series of *Man Like Mobeen* (2017). He has appeared as Maester Kelvyn in *House of the Dragon* (2022), Handman Hahn in *Foundation* (2023), and the Bishop in *My Lady Jane* (2024). Other roles include appearances in *Grace* (2021), *EastEnders* and *Count Abdulla* (both 2023).

Ali has also worked in film, with parts in *What's Love Got to Do with It?* (2022) and *Surge* (2020).
