## Biography

Harald Madsen (1890–1949) was a Danish actor. He appeared in more than fifty films between 1917 and 1948.

Madsen formed a long-running comedy partnership with Carl Schenstrøm as the duo Fyrtårnet og Bivognen (known internationally as Pat and Patachon, among other names). Their films included *Han, hun og Hamlet* (1932), *I de gode, gamle dage* (1940) and *Calle og Palle* (1948). He also had an uncredited role as a wedding musician in F. W. Murnau’s *The Last Laugh* (1924).

He made his screen debut in the Swedish film *Alexander den Store* (1917) and worked extensively in Denmark and abroad.
