Hari Nef is an American actress, model and writer. Born on 21 October 1992 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she graduated from Columbia University with a degree in theatre.

Her breakthrough acting role was as Gittel in the series *Transparent* (2014), for which the ensemble received a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination. She has appeared in films including *Assassination Nation* (2018), *Meet Cute* (2022) and *Barbie* (2023), playing Barbie. Nef has also had roles in series such as *You* (2018), *And Just Like That…* (2021) and *The Idol* (2023).
