Harold Ayer (15 August 1916 – 6 March 2003) was a British actor. Born in London, he appeared in numerous film and television roles from the 1940s onwards, often in supporting or guest capacities.

His film credits include an uncredited role in *Star!* (1968) and the voice of a Club Member in *Tarzan the Ape Man* (1981). On television he appeared in episodes of series such as *The Alfred Hitchcock Hour* (1962), *Quincy, M.E.* (1976), *T. J. Hooker* (1982), *Murder, She Wrote* (1984) as Sexton, *Night of the Demons* (1988) as the Old Man, *St. Elsewhere* (1982), *Chicago Hope* (1994) and *7th Heaven* (1996).

Ayer was the son of songwriter Nat Ayer and the father of actor Simon Ayer.
