## Biography

Harold Sakata, born Toshiyuki Sakata, was an American actor, Olympic weightlifter and professional wrestler. Born on 1 July 1920 in Holualoa, Hawaii, he won a silver medal in the light-heavyweight division at the 1948 Summer Olympics in London. He later worked as a wrestler under the ring name Tosh Togo.

Sakata was cast as the mute henchman Oddjob in the James Bond film *Goldfinger* (1964) on the strength of his wrestling career and imposing build. He appeared in other films and made guest appearances in television series including *Gilligan's Island* (1967), *Hawaii Five-O*, *The Rockford Files* and *Quincy, M.E.*

Sakata died on 29 July 1982 in Honolulu, Hawaii.
