Her writing and performance in *Colin from Accounts* give us good reason to care, even when the coarser jokes try too hard. In *Colin from Accounts* (2022), Ashley and Gordon keep finding ways to make an ordinary conversation difficult. As Ashley, Harriet Dyer lets us see the attraction even when the words are doing their best to conceal it. We recommend this warm, sharply performed romantic comedy, with a reservation about its coarser jokes. Dyer is particularly good at letting a character behave foolishly without making her company a punishment.
