## Biography

Harry Falk was an American television director. Born in New York City on 15 March 1933, he began his career as an assistant director on series including *The Defenders* and the film *Fail Safe* (1964) before moving into directing in the mid-1960s.

Falk directed episodes of numerous series, among them *The Patty Duke Show*, *Get Smart* (1968–1969), *Hawaii Five-O*, *The Streets of San Francisco* (1974–1977), *The Rockford Files* (1978), *Magnum, P.I.* and *Dynasty*. He also directed miniseries such as *Centennial* (1978–1979) and received a Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Directing in a Drama Series in 1975. He retired after directing the television film *High Desert Kill* (1989) and died in Santa Monica, California, on 29 April 2016.
