Harry Joe Brown (22 September 1890 – 28 April 1972) was an American film producer and, earlier in his career, a theatre and film director. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he began in the theatre as an actor and director before moving to Hollywood, where he directed second features at Universal and Paramount in the early 1930s.

Brown’s principal work was as a producer, chiefly for Columbia Pictures. He produced *Captain Blood* (1935), Errol Flynn’s American debut. With actor Randolph Scott he formed a company that became Ranown Pictures, producing a series of westerns directed by Budd Boetticher: *The Tall T* (1957), *Decision at Sundown* (1957), *Buchanan Rides Alone* (1958), *Ride Lonesome* (1959) and *Comanche Station* (1960). He also produced *Son of Captain Blood* (1962), the American debut of Sean Flynn.
